Join us Sunday, May 31 from 9-12 @ Druid Hill Park. You can register at the event.

Dear Friends,

We are so thankful for all of the kindness and support you've shown us since we sadly had to postpone our 20th annual March for the Animals walk-a-thon and festival, our largest fundraising event of the year.

We know this annual event is special to you, too. We are so happy to share that we were able to reschedule our walk-a-thon and festival for Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Druid Hill Park.

We hope you can join us for a fun day to come together with our friends, family, pets and community. Because we anticipate the weather will likely be warmer than it would have been in April, we're going to start and end a little earlier.

Although it took close to a year to plan and prepare for our original event, we will still have plenty of fun activities planned for our new date including our 1.5 mile walk-a-thon and pet costume contest. Have your photo with your pet taken at our photo booth, and browse through our "flea-less" market. Kids will enjoy making crafts at our Kids' Zone. Adoptable pets from the Maryland SPCA will be there to meet and greet you, and some of our vendors from our originally scheduled March, including several food trucks, will be returning.

As you know, this event is our most important fundraiser of the year. And, with your help, we can still reach our goal of raising $400,000 so we can continue to provide safe shelter, nutritious meals, medical care and enrichment to the thousands of pets that come to the Maryland SPCA this year needing our help.

Our March for the Animals website has been updated with new details including the revised schedule for the day. If you have already registered for the original event, you do not need to register again. If you registered online, your personal fundraising page is still active on the website.

You've worked so hard fundraising for the dogs and cats, and we are very grateful! Please share this new date with all of your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and social media contacts, and continue to ask them to support your fundraising efforts by making their donation to the Maryland SPCA.

If you hadn't registered, you can register by clicking the yellow button above (left) and set up your personal fundraising page. Event-day registration will take place at the walk-a-thon starting at 9 a.m.

We can't wait to see everyone on the 31st! Together, we can make this our most successful walk-a-thon and festival yet. The pets at the Maryland SPCA are counting on us!
